Profile

Robert Bowie Johnson, Jr. is a West Point grad and airborne ranger infantry veteran of Viet Nam, who began a successful career in self-publishing in the 1970s. After being published by Simon and Shuster, Playboy, the New York Times and others, he founded and sold several local monthly publications including Guide to Annapolis Area Dining and (the very funny) Broad Neck Baloney. He is the co-inventor of the controversial board game “Public Assistance: Why Bother Working for a Living?” which sold over 120,000 copies in the 1980s, and was the subject of a nationwide government plan to illegally ban it (www.welfaregame.com).

His books, Athena and Eden and The Parthenon Code: Mankind’s History in Marble have been published in France. The Parthenon Code has also been published in Greece. His latest books are Noah in Ancient Greek Art and Sowing Atheism: The National Academy of Sciences’ Sinister Scheme to Teach Our Children They’re Descended from Reptiles. His Web site, www.solvinglight.com, is an open resource for those interested in gaining a true understanding of the meaning of ancient Greek art.
